someone asked me why i rarely take portraits. i find taking pictures of people to be boring at times, because the picture is only as interesting as the person's expression or position. you're creating art by having the person pose in a way that will catch your audience's eye. i've never considered myself to be an artist. my goal for now is merely to find art in every day life and capture it in a way that makes people think.

or maybe i'm making all of this up and i'm just not very good at taking portraits but i want to sound cool and artistic.

heheh, taking pitures of people...it's kinda fun. specially when they don't know, or don't care, when you can just capture them naturally. I got a picture of my brother eating some chicken. he didn't know, but he liked the turnout of the shot. ^_^ nature is pretty, but so are people and their emotions.
